The Monster Under The Stairs

I was just sitting in my chair a few minutes ago and I had this idea. It was a powerful vision of a staircase and the monster beneath. So crisp were the details, I shall share it with you all.

Beneath the wooden stairs of an old abandoned house in the woods there rests a large creature. It's got the basic body makeup of your average spider, but the head of a quasi-human and the tail of a scorpion. Each of it's 8 legs has a claw on it and the entire creature is about as big as a German Shepard. It's mouth is filled with razor sharp teeth and they make a clicking sound when it's awake.

It lays folded up beneath the stairs waiting. It waits for any animal to enter then it paralyzes it with it's tail, carves it up with its legs, and they devours it. Sometimes for fun, it ignores the carving part and simply eats it alive.

Sometimes.. when food gets scarce.. and nothing passes by, it burrows. Down into the ground it goes. It uses it's massive legs to tunnel to other places, other houses, parks, dark places where only it can see. Then it waits for the best meal of all.. human flesh.
