Na' cho Job. Taco Bell must be Destroyed.

Until now, I've enjoyed Taco Bell. It's the only fast food I ever eat anymore. Their chili cheese burritos and spicy chicken burritos are cheap and filling. Until now, I loved Taco Bell. They were my hotspot in high school and almost a staple in Alright Guy History.

BUT NO MORE!

Taco Bell will feel my wrath. A particular Taco Bell has really upset my inner balance. And for the benefit of those with computers, you now feel wrath with me.

I have a cousin with Down's Syndrome. He's 30 years old and he just gradutated from a the Woodland Developmental School a few years ago. Their mission statement is to mainstream the mentally challenged and make them functioning members of society.

He works at Both Taco Bell and a business called Ark. Morning and afternoons respectively. At Taco Bell in particular he's a lobby guy. The resturant is on a stretch of road only travelled by high school students and locals. No travellers would ever pass by this location. If you are eating there, you intended to be eating there. Of the times I've been there, the other workers and patrons are friendly to him. Never before had his job at Taco Bell been a concern for me.

Taco Bell aparently had a change over of district managers at this store, and they wanted changes. Among other things, they wanted to purge the handicapped from their realm. My cousin, who all along had good evaluations, was beginning to get really bad ones. Failure to change lightbulbs because he's afraid of heights, illeteracy, and other issues were the main focus of these evalutions. To follow up, they tried to get him to sign a resignation form before driving him to his second job several hours early to wait for that one to start. That night he was up at 3am talking to himself in his room.. "Yeah.. We're gonna get laid off."

My other cousin started looking up handicapped rights laws and found a 1998 act that applied to this situation and armed my aunt with it. My aunt was furious, and counterattacked Taco Bell. Taco Bell backed down after My aunt, human rights groups, and Woodland's lawyers started getting involved. Taco Bell getting rid of it's handicapped people undermines everything Woodland is trying to accomplish. As of now eveything is back to normal. They had a "trainer" watching over him for a couple weeks but after that, it was over and all was well.

Since then My Aunt and Uncle decided that with the storm over and uneasy peace in the kingdom for now, they wouldn't bring this story to the media. I agree, they are private people and don't really want attention. Plus it would just be harder on my cousin who had a tough time with the whole ordeal anyways. That's why I haven't listed the store location or my cousin's name or picture. My goal here is to tell our readers what happened, but not cause a problem for my family. Of course if TB wanted a fight, I'm sure my Aunt could park her legal death star in Taco Bell's lawn and let the war begin.

I tried to grasp why they would do this. It wasn't for money, My cousin gets government aid based on income. Too much money is counterproductive. It wasn't that my cousin wanted status. He's perfectly happy working in the lobby where the customers know and see him. I believe is was that some pig fucker decided that my cousin was bad for some image they were trying to present. I can't agree with that idea, he's a nice guy, perfect for their image. That or some local decided to be an asshole, in which case their souls are tainted and should be incinerated.

Drive it home loverboy.

I've heard that other businesses are quietly doing this as well, although Taco Bell is the only one who I know for sure has tried. Whether it was one bad district manager or the will of a shitty corporation I'm not certain, but one thing is for sure, I'll be damned if I ever slurp one of those filthy chili cheese burritos down my cakehole ever again.

FUCK YOU TACO BELL!
