Proof of Nerdship

This past week, my fiance and I moved into a new apartment. It was just next door (literally - from Apt 4 to apt 3) but we have more space and it's a lot nicer overall. Whenever you move, you find out how much shit you really have. After setting up the new place, I'm confronted with several reminders of my nerd status that I proudly flaunt. Here are a few:

Prominently displayed on the bookshelf in the living room you will find several Dungeons and Dragons books as well as video game strategy guides. Hidden below are Harry Potter books and Lone Wolf choose-your-own-adventure books.

Also on one of the shelves is this doll of Dante from the Devil May Cry Playstation game. Men like to use the phrase 'collectible action figure,' but lets face it folks: It's a doll.

When I was ten years old, this would've been my dream: A wall with CDs, computer games, TV, Gamecube, DVD player, XBox, Playstation 2 and PC with high speed internet connection. I became sexually aroused typing all that just now.

Once upon a time, someone would call me a nerd and I'd hang my head in shame. Now I wear it as a badge of pride. On a related note, Gencon is less than 2 weeks away. !Viva la dork convention!
