The above link will take you to a news report where a 20 year old has been sentenced to death. He shot and killed 3 cops. And guess what? The families are suing those responsible for creating and selling Grand Theft Auto III. God bless America, where the rallying cry is "It's someone else's fault!" Maybe, just maybe, if you can't play a game like GTA without the urge to go out and shoot people, you're completely fucked up in the first place. Games are held to a much higher standard than movies or, say, the evening news. If anything they should sue the parents of the killer. They had a lot more to do with the murders than a video game. But no. We're always happy to point fingers at the media because we're to fucking dumb/lazy/irresponsible to take responsibility for our own actions. JOE THE CAMEL MADE ME SMOKE AND NOW I HAVE CANCER! DAMN YOU JOE THE CAMEL!

I'm going to go on a killing spree. I'm going to get a gun, then I'm going to walk from here to Meijer's to buy those delicious mint Oreo cookies. And I'm going to kill everyone who stands in my way. Then, I will sue Nabisco for making such good cookies that I was driven into an uncontrollable lust for more and I HAD NO CHOICE but to kill people. I do not have control over my actions. I am stupid and easily influenced. I was set to jump out of a helicopter for a can of Mountain Dew until I saw the little DO NOT ATTEMPT message at the bottom of the screen.

Seriously, that kid's getting what he deserves. You kill three cops? You're too fucked up to exist in this society, clear out your desk and get the fuck out. And of course the families in these sorts of incidents are always eager to point the finger at anyone but themselves. Maybe if Rockstar gives us a billion dollars it will help ease the pain. And of course the killer's gonna say "Oh shit! Ummm....Grand theft Auto made me do it! The Matrix made me do it! It's Donnie Osmond's fault!" Some people simply shouldn't have children. There's adoption. There are coat hangers. Either would be more merciful than making the kid grow up with these people as parents. And as far as the families of the victims suing goes: there are fucked up people in this world who live fucked up lives. People snap and bad shit happens. The guilty party is being punished. If you're looking for a scapegoat, look at the boy's parents.
