on a completely off topic note... i should have a blog roll up on this page sometime tommarrow night. I also made some changes to the way things are archived (since i couldnt find a calander that i both liked and could understand). the sponsors area has also changed a great deal as well. let me know what you think of the changes for better or for worse so that i can keep improving the site. (why does java have to be so hard to understand?)
I am digging it, particularly the drop down menu for the archive and the Technorati search thing; I want that. The blogroll almost appears to be an afterthought after the excellent presentation that precedes it. Do something flashy with the title! Like fireworks!
i havent quite figured out how to edit the title yet. im still relatively new to html and java so things have to be spelled out very clearly in order for me to use them.
i love the technorati search. saves me a shitload of time when im looking for past posts to reference.
the other thing i did with the archives was to make it load a page that just had all the headlines instead of all the posts for the whole month. also making my life easier.
i still havent gotten the blogroll to work exactly as id like though. i cant figure out how to get a space between the grafic arrow icon and the link like i have with all my other links. but i'll figure that out eventually im sure. just gotta play with it somemore.
I will live vicariously through your work as any add-on that cannot be truncated into a simple online code and pasted into a template will never get added to my blog.
the drop down menu was easy. only a couple lines of code. the headlines only on the archive page was a pain in the ass. the chatbox was easy only a small script. the blogroll was fairly simple once i figured out how to set it up on the blogroll.com page. the referral links wasnt to bad but half the time it doesnt work right. i found all of these things on onther peoples blogs while i was surfing. the most annoying one was finding the tag box. all of them give popup adds except this one. but this one has an auto censor that i cant figure out how to shut off. id rather have a censor then popups.
